Who is responsible for your data

What we collect from creators

Identity and contact: name, email address, and phone number if you give us one.
Location: country, state and city — we cast briefs by geography.
Year of birth: some briefs are cast for a specific age range. We deliberately do not collect your full date of birth.
Self-description: anything you optionally tell us about how you’d describe yourself. This is free text, always optional, and never a required field.
Professional information: social handles, portfolio links, rates, turnaround, capacity, filming environments and equipment.
Work product: videos and other content you deliver.
Payment details: your legal name and address, and a reference token from our payment provider. We do not store your bank account numbers or tax identification numbers. Those stay with the payment provider.
Technical data: IP address and basic device information when you use the site.

Why we use it

To assess your application and match you to suitable briefs.
To contract with you, brief you, and pay you.
To track usage-rights windows on content you license to us.
To offer you further work — including for other brands we work with.
To meet our tax, accounting and legal obligations.
To keep the service secure and prevent fraud.

Our legal bases are: performing our contract with you, our legitimate interest in operating and improving a creator roster, your consent where we ask for it, and compliance with legal obligations.

Automated assessment

We score applications against each brand’s brief to decide who to shortlist. This scoring uses the information you provide and an automated assessment of your portfolio. A person reviews every decision that affects whether you are offered work — the score orders our queue, it does not decide on its own. You can ask us to explain a decision at any time.

Who we share it with

Clients: when we put you forward for a brief, we share the professional information relevant to casting. We do not share your contact details, address or payment information with clients without asking you first.
Service providers: hosting, database, email, e-signature and payment providers, each acting on our instructions.
Authorities: where we are legally required to.

We do not sell your personal information.

International transfers

We operate from Israel and use service providers located in the United States and the European Union — hosting, database, email and payment infrastructure. Israel holds an adequacy decision from the European Commission; where information moves elsewhere we rely on appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Unsuccessful applications: kept for 24 months so we can consider you for future briefs, then deleted. Tell us if you’d rather we delete it sooner.
Active creators: kept for the duration of our relationship.
Contracts, invoices and tax records: kept for as long as the law requires, typically seven years.
Licensed content: kept for the licence term plus a reasonable period to evidence what was licensed and when.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access your information, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent. Creators in Israel have these rights under the Privacy Protection Law; creators in the EU/UK under the GDPR; residents of California and other US states under applicable state privacy laws.

To exercise any of these, email hello@everydayreel.com. We respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

Access to creator information is limited to people who need it. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, payment credentials are held by our payment provider rather than by us, and access codes we issue you are stored encrypted. No system is perfect; if a breach affects you, we will tell you and the relevant authority as required by law.

Children

This service is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and applications indicating an age under 18 are rejected automatically.

Changes

If we change this policy materially we will email registered creators and update the date above.
